School districts and county school offices are required to form geographical regions of sufficient size and scope to provide for all special education service needs of children residing within the region boundaries. Each region (Special Education Local Plan Area) developed a local plan describing how it would provide special education services. The SW SELPA Professional Development opportunities are designed to support staff who are providing instruction and/or support in a variety of special education settings. Our training catalog includes an assortment of training options to meet the needs of all our districts and charter schools.
